1 two year old + 1 popsicle = drip drip drip

It was hot out, why not give the kid a popsicle, right? He LOVED it! The only problem was he couldn't eat it fast enough. So naturally Aven wanted to help as you'll see in the last picture...
I'm not sure what happened here, it's a cute picture but I posted it wrong and I don't know how to fix it. Sorry.

Aven cleaning up...

The best part is that Levi didn't even mind. In fact he offered it from time to time. I know I should have stopped him but it was just too funny. Eventually aven took the whole thing and ran off with it. And levi got a bath...

a weekend away...

So we decided that since Levi did so well when we left him to go to steamboat, we should do it again =) This time we dropped him off at my parents house on our way to salida. We camped under mount princton for one night and it was beautiful. Camping is definitly more "us" than staying in hotels so I think we'll stick with that as much as possible. LEvi had a wonderful time with my mom and I hope to post pictures of that sometime, as soon as I get them =).
We spent saturday sitting in a hot springs and driving around the southern part of the state. We love Salida and that whole area! It was a nice time for us especially since we've been working so hard on the house. I took the liberty of posting some of my favorite pictures. I love the NO PARKING one with the kayaks.

We love ghost towns. We tried to go out to bonanza (we've been there before) but it started raining too hard. I got a couple of pictures of an old cabin that was located a couple of miles outside of bonanza.

sleeping boy

One day I went down to wake levi up from his nap since it was getting to almost be his night time bed time...I couldn't wake him! He was sleeping so soundly that even the lights and me talking to him and touching him didn't stir him. So I thought I'd use that opportunity to take a sleepy picture, I don't get many of those =)
He's sleeping with "huggie" a blue dog that is almost as old as I am. It was a christmas gift to me when I was five and I carried it around everyhwere. Now it belongs to Levi and he refuses to go to bed without it.
