Can't get enough

We can't get enough of this little man. My sister Anita came up to visit and help out for a couple of days this week which was a huge help and a blessing. Jackson and Levi both loved the attention they got while mommy rested. Jackson loves being held and hates being put down which is both hard and wonderful at the same time. Of course we aren't getting much sleep at night at this point but it's worth it. Hopefully he'll adjust quickly to life out side of the womb.

Our boys!

Levi loves to cuddle with Jackson, in fact my biggest trial right now is teaching Levi to leave Jackson alone when he's sleeping in his bassinet. I'll find him in there trying to give Jackson his toys wanting to play. It's so cute but obviously counterproductive! Wow, we have BOYS! What a crazy time...

It's a BOY!!

Arriving 5 days after his due date, Jackson John Hilton made his appearance! He was born on Wednesday, November 24th at 7:20pm after a very intense but short labor. He is a big boy weighing 8lbs 8oz and is 20.5" long. He was born in the comfort of our home with only Jason and our wonderful midwife, Lisa and her daughter Amanda present. Everything went smoothly and I was so excited not to have to go to the ER for stitches this time. I owe a special thanks to Kim who came last minute to take Levi to her house while I was in labor. He had a wonderful time with her and Mike and was home in time for bed at 8:30. Levi came right up to Jackson, took his hand and shook it and said "nice to meet ya". He is very excited to be a big brother and loves to hold and kiss Jackson.
We were very surprised that we had a boy since the pregnancy was so different from Levi's but we are thrilled! My life will be crazy being outnumbered by my boys but I couldn't be happier. We are totally in love with our new son and so pleased that Levi will have a playmate.
We praise the LORD for this blessing and for answering our many prayers.
Sorry these first few pictures didn't turn out, we had the lights on low...

37 weeks

I don't have a picture but I am at 37.5 weeks now and ready! We have everything we need set up, the midwife is on call as is Levi's babysitter. We are so ready to meet this little person and I can hardly wait to find out what it is!!
I am not sleeping well at all and have been having regular contractions for about a month now. Levi came at 37 weeks so it's hard not to get our hopes up that this one will come early too. This week would be ideal since Jason doesn't have work and could stay home with me and the baby and Levi.
But we know that God's timing is best and all we can do is trust in His wisdom. Please pray for me as I wait and try not to be anxious. I am a little nervous about the labor but I've done it once, I can do it again =)
Thanks to all of you for your well wishes, your prayers and your gifts. They have been a huge blessing to us these past 9 months! Hopefully my next post will have pictures of our little Hilton !

Mr. Elephant

Levi got to dress up as an elephant last night. We decided to skip trick or treating this year since Jason had to work late, I am way tired and Levi is too young to know what he's missing =) He enjoyed being Mr. elephant though ! Good thing he doesn't know about the candy yet =)

Fall Fall Fall

Wow the aspen this year have been amazing! I am lucky I went out when I did though since the next week some very windy days took all the leaves away =) I love the fall, leaves blowing across the street, cooler mornings, rain, snow on the mountains, the colors....

I LOVE where we live!

Levi has become a very talented climber, I wonder whom he gets that from...
Jason takes him out probably once a week to find boulders to climb. Some are bigger than others but he does really well and it has become a special bonding time for father and son. Jason is beaming with pride every time Levi "summits" and Levi couldn't be happier. Of course it isn't cool for mommy to come along or give a hand. It is strictly BOY time. He is very cautious and has a good eye for where to put his feet and hands, he is also very balanced for which I am really grateful =)

36 weeks

Here I am 36 weeks along! I didn't get as many good pictures this day as I wanted, turns out it's pretty hard to set up a tripod on rocky ground, watch a 3 year old climb on everything, and take self portraits at the same time, oh yeah and be 36 weeks pregnant and constantly out of breath =) But the aspen were beautiful!

31 Weeks!!

Levi loves his little Brother or Sister already. He is very gentle with my growing belly although not always tactful. The other day he said "mommy you're getting really BIG!" What could I say? He was right =)

We can't wait to meet this little one. Counting down now, only 9 weeks to go! I have to admit to secretly hoping this one makes an early appearance like Levi did so that I get to hold him/her sooner! But that is all in the Lord's hands. All I really care about is that the baby is healthy and the delivery goes smoothly. I appreciate your prayers in this as well =)
