3 more weeks!!!

Well our addition should be ready to move into in just 3 more weeks! I can hardly believe it ! we have worked so hard to get this done in 5 months and it looks like we'll make it! There are still quite a few things to get done but Jason reassures me that it will get done in time. It has been pretty hard living in a construction site with a toddler but we've made do. I've been driving into town every day just to get out of the house a little bit. Levi has been a real trooper, putting up with the laundry and office in his bedroom and not having much space to move around in. we are so proud of him. His new thing is giving me kisses! I love it! He is so cute, he even gave another little boy a hug the other day!
I'll update some pictures of the house when it is all done, right now it's all I can do to upload these pictures. I've been helping with the house as much as I can, painting, staining, cleaning, screwing on plug and switch covers, shopping, not to mention all the paperwork and phone calls involved. We will all be happy when the house is done!
We got our first snow yesterday so we are excited that our roof is on and our woodstove is all set.

My Girls!

Jason is so sweet and lets me have a girls night once a month with my pals Abby and Andrea! We have a blast eating dinner (and of course dessert=0) ) and laughing and just hanging out together!

What's this???

Levi is very curious about the washing machine. He likes to watch me do laundry and I've even had to start looking to make sure none of his toys are in there before I start a load! He likes to help me put jasons socks away too. It is so cute! Well curiosity naturally leads to...

trouble!! He almost got all the way in ! His shirt was soaked because I had just taken a load of laundry out of the washer when he decided he wanted to get in himself!

Levi LOVES his bath! He cries when it's time to come out. He also enjoys chewing on his rubber duckie and splashing so much that mommy gets a bath too!

Bath Time!

Levi was hysterical during his bath the other day. He just laughed his belly laugh forever! The sound quality of my camera is not very good so it isn't as funny as it was in person but I still think you'll enjoy it. It is rated PG-13 though since he decided to stand up half way through =0)Sorry about that...

Levi is walking!!!!

It has now been a full week since Levi took his first steps and we are amazed at how well he is walking now. He can pick something up and carry it without falling over and he can turn around and we are so proud! It makes me so happy to see him grow and develop, where did my baby go? He is into everything of course but I have to say that he listens really well and obeys most of the time...

This was last thursday one day after he started walking. It was so funny to watch because he looked drunk! But he was so proud of himself, he'd take a few steps and then look up at you with the most adorable "look what I can do" face!

Family....and the house....

Grandpa is here! Jason's dad and brother are here for a week to help with building our house. It has been a huge blessing so far! Levi loves to entertain them and be entertained by them but is still pretty shy. Unfortunatley he doesn't like to be held by anyone other than mommy and daddy, at least while they are within sight. But Tim and Grandpa are being good sports about it and letting Levi warm up to them in his own time and way.

The roof is finally all done!

Our trim is all stained now I just have to stain the doors. I love the knotty pine look.

The living room... the walls are a tan/yellow color in the basement and in the great room.

Everywhere else is a gray color. This is looking at the pantry door, the dining room to the left and the stairs to the basement. (from the entry way) The hardwood floors are done too but covered up for protection.

Yesterday was the first day I got to park my car in the garage!!! I was so excited!

The house is really coming along nicely. Jason has been working so hard at it, it really looks like we'll be done with the addition by the end of October just like we planned. We can't wait to have you all over for dinner!

Another Hike!

Levi and I have gone on a lot of hikes this summer. This one was to alberta falls and mills lake this week. We went with our good buddies and had a blast. A little rain meant we had the place mostly to ourselves which was a nice treat. Levi is definitly getting bigger though, I can tell at the end of the day when I take the pack off =0) This hike was about 6 miles round trip so not too bad, and our boys were real troopers!

Friends!

Levi loves playing with his friend Caleb! Our friends Hondo and Trish babysat our boy a couple of weeks ago and they had a fun time together. Mostly he likes to rock Caleb in the car seat and poke him in the face but I've no doubt that they will be good friends in no time.
