Jackson has proven to be a very stubborn baby when it comes to sleep! He will fight us sometimes for half a day before he gives in and goes to sleep! But he is slowly getting better at it. He is so sweet when he's happy (which usually means someone is holding him!). We love our boys =)
Levi asks me every day if he can take care of Jackson. He'll sit very still on the couch with a pillow under his arm and hold his baby brother until he starts to fuss or Levi get's bored. He'll talk to him and tickle his feet and wipe his mouth with a burp cloth. Levi is very helpful with handing me things and loves to calm Jackson down by talking to him in a very soft voice. It is adorable and I love seeing this side of Levi on a daily basis!
We got our tree right after Thanksgiving and it was the most beautiful tree we'd ever had, but by Christmas morning it was already looking pretty sad. I think next year we'll wait a little longer to get one.

Levi's gift this year was a bike with training wheels, he doesn't know how to ride it yet but it won't take him very long I'm sure! I can't wait for the summer when we can go to the lake and he can ride while I walk with Jackson!
Auntie Becky took every opportunity she could to rock with Jackson and everyone let her since this was her first time meeting him and she won't see him again for a long time. He was very content in her arms.

My dad (grandad) had promised Levi a ride on his tractor over a month ago, and Levi hadn't forgotten! As soon as we arrived he started begging for it, he had to wait until the next morning but it was worth it! Grandad let him steer all by himself, he almost ran me over when I was taking their picture =) It was so fun to watch and Levi had a blast!

My sister Becky and her husband, Spencer, were able to join us from Yuma Arizona! We are all so thankful that Spencer made it home from Afghanistan in one piece just a few weeks ago.
My brother Jon also just got home from over seas, Uganda! He spent a couple of months teaching and ministering to the kids there. It was special to have everyone together again. We had beautiful weather (unbelievable for December!) and a fantastic family time.
Our BIG boy is being such a good little helper and brother. My biggest task is to keep him from waking Jackson up to play!
Jackson really enjoys watching the fish in the fish tank and also sitting in front of our Christmas tree and looking at all the lights! He is a very content baby until it's time to lay in his bed and go to sleep...he only likes to fall asleep while someone is holding him...sweet.... but hard on mommy =)
Jackson was two weeks old on Wednesday and is a growing boy! He weighs nearly 9lbs now and is already growing out of some of the newborn clothes! What opposites him and Levi are proving to be =)

Our library has a really cool thing going, you can RENT toys! This was our first attemt at it and Levi is having a "blast" with the rocket ship! Now I'm only hoping that he won't throw a fit when it is time to return it...we'll see =)
