A time for everything....

Most of you know already by now that I had a miscarriage last week. Just shy of three months of my pregnancy and there were signs of trouble. A visit to the doctor where we had 2 ultrasounds and an exam confirmed our fears. There was no heartbeat. I lost the baby just an hour or so after the doctor visit. Obviously we are shocked and saddened by this turn of events but we trust the Lord in His faithfulness to give us the strength to bear it. I have never before felt His presence as strongly as that day and the days that followed. Jason has been supportive and wonderful through all of this. I am so greatful to have Levi and the joy he brings us every day. I also want to thank all of our friends and family who have blessed us with cards, e-mails, phone calls and hugs. It means a lot to us to be so loved and cared for by all of you. I am healing although I'm sure that my heart will take longer than my body to mend. My heart goes out to all women who have had to go through this. It is no easy thing to get over. I truly believe that God has more children in mind for us (whether from my own womb or not is up to Him) I just need to be patient and lean on Him. To trust His wisdom more than mine. Please keep us in your prayers. I am so thankful that my parents where here with us during this hard time and that Jason was able to stay with me for 4 days to help me with Levi and just be there to listen.

I am truly blessed by my family and my friends and most of all by my faith in our heavenly Father.

Fathers day

We had a fun Fathers day ! I made oatmeal, walnut pancakes and we tanned in the hammock, we took Levi to the national park and let him throw rocks in the river (and anything else he could get his hands on!) And we hiked around climbing on rocks and waving at horses and having a picnic...
It was a beautiful day in sunny Colorado. Of course we were having so much fun that I forgot to take pictures =(
I am doing well with the pregnancy. I'm at 10 weeks and starting to feel a little bit better. Still tired a lot but not as nauseous. We are calling the baby o10 for now since we don't know what it is but we do know it will be born in 2010=0)
Life is good here in the Hilton home. Jason has work, Levi is healthy, and we are all ever so greatful for God's presence in our lives and His amazing grace.

lederhosen and toddlers??

My parents came to visit a few weeks ago and brought Levi a pair of lederhosen! It was so funny! They were too big of course since he's so tiny but they stayed up alright. They had just gotten back from Austria and Germany, visiting our family and some missionaries. Levi had fun spending time with Oni (my mom) and dada (grandad, but who can say it right anyway??)
Thanks mom for the lederhosen!

buddies

Levi and Caleb playing together a few weeks ago. They get along so well, we just enjoy watching them!

A visit from Granbeth and uncle Timothy

Jason's mom, Granbeth came last week for a nice visit. This is a typical pose of that week. Her and Tim both took a lot of pictures of Levi, so unfortunatly I didn't end up taking a lot. Levi loved having them here, as did we. Beth got to spend lots of time with Levi while we took naps, helped hondo and trish move, and the guys went skiing.

We spent one morning walking by the river in Estes, playing at the playground and having a lot of fun.
Levi and granbeth singing kareokee! It was hilarious!
We had a picnick one day and played with Levi on the new playground. He loved the swings the most and was just laughing his head off.

Time to say goodbye

Our best friends, Hondo and Trisha Wynn left on Wednesday for Slovenia as long term missionaries. This was a joyous and miserable time. We had a little goodbye party for them with our old small group buddies. Hondo and Trisha have known Jason and I since Ravencrest, before we were even a couple. They have seen us through all sorts of times. Hondo was in our wedding and has been Jason's mountain partner. They have spent countless hours skiing, hiking, rock climbing and avalache training together. Trish and I took a little longer getting to know eachother but it was so worth it! I helped in her classroom when I was pregnant with Levi and once she had little Caleb we hung out a ton. She is a great friend with whom I enjoyed sharing my spiritual journey with as well as just having fun. They will be missed by our whole group and our little town. One day we look forward to visiting them, as they are only a short distance from Vienna =)

Dierdre and little Isaac
Earl and Hondo and the guys played montana golf. Earl accidentaly hit our dog, Aven, with a ball and Levi got really mad, threw his milk down and said "NO". It was really funny.

Beautiful Hannah

Caleb enjoyed eating dirt! He was really excited about it!

The girls, Tonya, Trisha, Steph, Abby, and me. Dierdre was inside taking care of Isaac.
