Levi has gotten pretty good at self feeding! At least with easy to pick up pieces like cheerios and cheese or things like that. Sometimes he makes a real mess of himself, but that's all part of the fun isn't it?

favorite spot

This is Levi's favorite spot in the house. He loves looking outside and watching Aven (our dog) run around. I'm sure it won't be long before Levi is begging me to go run around outside too. He is getting so fast at crawling and pulling himself up that we have to have an eye on him at all times.

Happy Mother's Day!!

For my very first mothers day jason and levi took me out to a fancy brunch and then we went hiking with our good friends phil and abby. it was a beautiful day and so enjoyable! Afterwards Jason got me a smoothie =0)

it was a very special day and i felt so appreciated and loved.

Broccoli anyone??

I couldn't stop laughing at levi when he tried broccoli for the first time. He actually did eat the whole thing but he made that funny face for each spoonful. At Levi's 9 month check up last week he weighed 15.5 lbs and was 27" long. The Doctor is a little bit concerned because he is so small for his age. He is no longer on the charts at all. But we are not too worried because we see how active he is and how much he eats. Although it is hard as a mom to hear that your baby is too small and not getting enough to eat. I promised the doctor that i feed him ALL THE TIME but he NEVER sits still. So now we have to go in for monthly weigh ins until he is at least back on the chart. So i'm really trying to get him to eat more than ever these days, but that is a hard when he just wants to play... please pray for peace of mind for me and for patience.

Levi is on the move...

Now that levi can crawl and pull himself up it seems like he is never still. I have to constantly watch him to make sure he doesn't get into stuff he's not supposed to. Ever since he started doing these things he gets a new bruise almost every day from falling. It's hard to see him hurt himself but then again it's all apart of the learning process right? He is a boy after all...

Levi is a lot of fun these days. He already got his second tooth and just smiles away. Soooo cute...

Yesterday he got a big ol bruise on his forehead, he was standing holding on to the coffee table but he doesn't know how to get down yet so he just fell and wacked his head in the process. we felt so sorry for him, it really looked and sounded bad, but today he's just fine. he is a loud little guy, always screetching and talking at the top of his lungs. He say's dadda a lot but not mamma =(

He is crawling all over the place and starting to learn what "NO"means. He loves to get into the trash! it's like having a little puppy! this last week he's been waking up in the middle of the night again, i don't know why. It's hard because i know that he can sleep through the night since he's been doing it since he was just 9 weeks old. but i know this too shall pass. Both jason and i got sick with the stomach flu last week and i'm so thankful that levi never got it.

he sure is a handful sometimes but it is so rewarding. i love being a mommy!

time to dig!

on friday we started digging our addition in pinewood springs. There is a LOT of dirt!!! we ran into some rock though so we have to blast this week. It is really exciting to see our plans actually happening! We are adding a total of 2600 sq. feet plus a garage. the existing house is only 600 sq feet so this will be quite an improvement. We've decided to rent out the basement to some friends, which we are really excited about too. It will help our transition to not all of a sudden live in such a huge house all by ourselves. Anyways i know not everyone cares to see pictures of the construction but we knew jason's dad and my dad would be especially interested. so i'm going to continue posting pictures of our progress. plus i'm just so thrilled, that i have to share it with everyone!

walking time

my stroller has been broken for a couple of months and it's driven me crazy! but i finally got the replacement piece from the manufacturer and i've enjoyed taking it out almost every day since. Levi enjoys watching everything go by!
